The following are specifics on how our Internet Privacy Policy protects you:

WHAT INFORMATION IS BEING COLLECTED FROM YOU AND WHY?

Browsing Web Pages – When you visit 321Transit.com and the 321Transit app, the web server automatically logs the following information:

  • The Internet domain you came from, such as “cfl.rr.com“.
  • The IP address from which you accessed the site. This is a number unique to your computer. It may not change or may change between visits if you connect through an ISP.
  • The web page visited along with the date/time.
  • The browser type and operating system used to access our site.
  • The address of the Web site you came from when arriving at our site from their link.

This information does not result in the identification of your personal E-mail address or other personal information.

Email Address – We collect email addresses from visitors who wish to be sent confirmation email messages. We also retain email addresses for the purpose of responding to requests for information. 

Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public-records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.

Comments – Comments have been disabled on this website and therefore there is no collection of data generated from comments. In addition there is no option to submit comments on of the any apps we have produced and therefore there is no collection of data generated from comments.

Contact Information – In order to purchase passes online an account must be set up requiring; name, address, phone, and email address in order to process and mail physical passes to the purchaser. This information is stored on a secure server accessible only by designated staff. If you do not want to submit your contact information online, you may purchase passes over the phone by calling 321-635-7815 Option 2, Monday – Friday, 8AM to 5PM.

Financial Information – Space Coast Area Transit processes financial information (credit card information) provided by those users who purchase bus passes online. We do not store any credit card information. We collect it and send it via an encrypted Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to the server conducting the transaction. At no time do we store personal credit card information on any of our servers.

Email – Emails sent by you to the Space Coast Area Transit become a matter of public record.

Mobile Phone Numbers – You may choose to submit your mobile phone number in order to either receive bus arrival notifications, or a promotional free bus pass via SMS text. These phone numbers are stored on a secure server anonymously for documentation and technical customer service. 

Survey Responses – We retain survey responses. This provides us the capability to improve our services to you.

Page Hit Statistics – We retain statistics on what web pages have been visited. We track information about the visits to our web pages and compile statistics that show the daily number of hits. These aggregated statistics are used internally to better provide services to the public. The statistics contain no personal information.

Location Data – The 321Transit.com website and the 321Transit app allow users to “Find A Route Near Me”. In doing so the user’s device shares location data with the website/app to determine the closest routes to the user. This location data is not stored, archived, or shared. Once the session is over the data is purged. 

Trip Planning – The 321Transit.com website and the 321Transit app allow users to plan a bus trip using the Google Maps Trip Planner. Anonymous trip planning data is archived and available to Space Coast Area Transit admin staff for the purposes of research and development. 

Note, this is not actual location gathering based on physical travel, but the collection of users potential trip planning. Whether or not the user used the trip planner’s results or actually embarked on said trips is not even known or recorded. 

Cookies – A cookie is data that is stored on your computer’s hard drive. We may store cookies in order to process bus pass transactions, or to customize user experience and content specific to your interests. For example, we may retain information to prevent you from having to re-enter it every time you visit a new page or return to our site.

You may choose to reject all cookies by modifying your browser preferences. If you do not accept cookies, you will be unable to use some online functions.

Other Personal Information – In order to qualify for reduced fare passes, applicants must upload various forms of personal identification and a “selfie” or headshot. This information is stored on a secure server accessible only by designated staff. Game Apps – The game apps Bus-4-Life and Shadow of the Minotaur: Latin users are not able to submit or download any media: . Therefore there is no collection of data.

HOW ARE WE GOING TO PROTECT THE INFORMATION?

We keep your personal information in our secure environment. The information is kept in a secure location accessible only by designated staff. This computer system employs programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to access, upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE INFORMATION ONCE IT’S PROVIDED?

We keep your personal information in our secure environment. Space Coast Area Transit does not rent or sell any information you provide. The information is only used for the purposes for which you provided the information. 

WILL WE DIVULGE IT, AND IF SO, UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES?

When processing online transactions from you, it is absolutely necessary to share personal information with appropriate technology entities which process certain portions of these transactions, such as credit cards.

Florida’s public records law requires that all information received in connection with government related business be made available to anyone upon request, unless the information is subject to a specific statutory exemption.

For authorized law enforcement investigations, we may need to comply in identifying individual users or their usage habits.

WHAT ABOUT COOKIES?
