07Aug Cutting The Cord No commentsPosted by

Are you one of the 65% of Americans that no longer pay for cable TV? What might have started as a cost saving measure, people now prefer the ability to pick and choose what they watch, and without the bombardment of commercials – what we call interruption marketing.

People don’t want to be sold, but given the need – will buy all day long. That is the difference between interruption marketing and permission marketing. When a consumer searches to find something they are inviting and giving permission to have your information presented to them.

With the remaining 35%, Cable TV still is a viable marketing medium, but don’t think the prices have been cut in half to match the viewership. In fact they continue to rise, despite the growing number of cord cutters.
